Exercise equipment, namely, two matable half-bodies such as twin hemispheres usable in mated mode to form a whole body such as a spherical ball that is inserted in and releasably retained within an enveloping skin having a hook for attachment to a weight machine's cable or to an elastic exercise band whereby the enveloping skin containing the matable half-bodies in mated mode when attached by the hook to a weight machine's cable or to an elastic exercise band is held between open hands gripping the enveloping skin on opposing sides thereof and/or held in the open palm of one hand against the returning force of the weight machine's cable or exercise elastic band and manipulated to provide sports specific performance training such as by employing movements emulating sports movements such as shooting a basketball, passing a basketball, a basketball jab or twist, or throwing a football when attached to the cable or band and usable in unmated modes mode when the matable half-bodies such as twin hemispheres are unmated to provide freestanding metastable foot stands outside the skin such as metastable hemispheric foot stands and stood upon to perform exercises to provide balance strength and fitness training
