Temperature-controlled food and beverage dispenser, vending machine and components thereof that may utilize inert gas to dispense liquid accurately and completely and prevent oxidation and dispense liquid in a sanitary fashion without wasting product, the dispensers are also scalable to include many configurations of different types or varieties of liquids such as many different vintages of wines, the liquid dispensing system also may be, but does not have to be, a temperature controlled unit to keep liquid at desired temperature, the interface with the software and the liquid dispensing unit may be done through computer networks (LAN and/or WAN), on-site computers, or by remote communication between the liquid dispensing unit and the system and software application
