The term "commercial contingency" is a unique brand I have narrowly applied to a particular service wherein a lawyer represents a company, corporation, trust, or partnership appearing as a plaintiff in civil litigation and the attorney's fee is deferred until, and contingent upon, the outcome of the litigation. It is distinct from other arrangements for services because the term applies only to commercial litigation cases and not injury cases (in which a contingent fee arrangement is common)
