EcoCarbon is a charcoal-like substance made by heating organic material (biomass like biosolids, wood, manure, food waste, or other organic material) in a low-oxygen environment, a process called gasification. The proprietary gasification process creates a highly porous, carbon-rich material used primarily as a soil amendment to improve water retention, nutrient availability, microbial life, and sequester carbon long-term, helping combat climate change and boost soil health.
