The Fingerprint on the Move (FoM) product captures high resolution digital images of the insole palmar area of the hand by positioning the hand over the camera set up and processes the skin friction ridge texture to extract the fingerprints and palm-prints detail patterns and minutiae features to be used for the person identification and verification using the existing automatic fingerprint identification solutions. FoM provides a non-contact high quality fingerprint and palm-print digital images from the user hands using any high resolution camera from built-in in mobile phone, tablets or laptop webcams to DSLR in contrast to the existing live-scan products that require the finger tips and palm skin to touch the glass surface
