Helping Our Neighbors, Inc. is a startup 501(c)(3) Non-Profit corporation in the state of WV. Helping Our Neighbors operates a website in an effort to obtain donations from individuals in the community. The mission of our non-profit is to provide assistance to low and middle income families in our community that experience the death of an immediate family member. Those interested in applying for assistance would complete an application on our website. The assistance provided by Helping our Neighbors would include a direct financial payment to the funeral services provider on behalf of the applicant. This will help the applicant pay for the funeral cost and other final expenses incurred by them due to the loss of their immediate family member. Future programs to support/provide assistance to applicants are also planned. These future programs will further provide assistance to the applicant by providing financial payments directly to grief counseling providers on behalf of the applicant. Additionally, a 3rd program will launch in the future that will provide assistance in the means of direct financial payments to the applicant to help the applicant pay for living expenses of the household in where the immediate family member that had passed away was a resident
