Computer software for use on desktop and mobile devices, namely, an online service where users create and organize discussion groups (to be held in person), invite users and non-users of the system to participate as guests in the discussion group, communicate via an online forum, and manage their account and subscription settings. The software generates and displays user data inputs. The software receives user data, and if authorized, persists the user data to a remote, distributed cloud-based data store. The software receives requests for data, and if authorized, formats the result and displays it to the user. The software processes text from user messages in the forum; sentences are parsed from the text to the effect that meta-data is associated with each sentence, enabling direct user manipulation of the sentence within the user-interface layer
