Lexica.MarketPlatform includes an XML-based declarative language, compiler and third-party rules engine integration for real-time execution of marketplace logic. MarketRules can be used for message routing, implementing business logic, performing conditional data transformation, and to define complex transaction sequences. In addition to general marketplace logic, both private label and supplier participants can publish rules to be executed during the processing of specific transactions. Private label portals, for example, can specify logic to determine appropriate or preferential suppliers for a given customer. Suppliers can implement rules for qualifying customers or supporting special programs for particular private label portals.
