I am an artist, and my stage name is Lightspeed. My reason to trademark this name is to protect my rights when it comes to selling my merchandise, and to establish the performing name as mine. I will be selling shirts, sweaters, caps, shoes, and more on the retail end, featuring original artwork and designs centered around the Lightspeed brand and aesthetic. Most pieces will include the name Lightspeed somewhere on the piece, as well the character "Lightspeed" in graphics as well. When advertising these products, the name Lightpseed will also be used to grab attention of fans and direct traffic to the goods. Thus it is essential to protect the brand through a trademark in this category, and potentially other categories as well
