MailMate is an e-mail agent that selectively fetches e-mail messages from an individual's existing mailbox, compacts those messages, and transmits those compacted messages to that same individual's text-capable wireless device. MailMate enables travelers to communicate with other people by relaying messages from the traveler's e-mail box to the traveler's wireless device.
