An Online Consultation is a clinical consultation provided by a medical provider to an "informed patient" using Medem's network in which the provider expects payment for the service The Online Consultation is authenticated and encrypted, lives up to the eRisk malpractice carrier guidelines and the proposed federal HIPAA standards Medem's Online Consultation software product (or service) provides for the creation of templates for frequently asked questions, convenient links to the library of Medical Society content, integrated charge capture/billing, and other tools that will make OC safe, complete and convenient for physicians and patients Online Consultation will be used in the actual software product itself (on screen text descriptions), marketing materials and other company collateral, press releases, and all other internal and external communications for this product
