Automated systems, namely, power-operated lift systems for wheelchairs, specially adapted for use with vehicles, primarily comprised of powered wheelchair lifts for use with vehicles, and also containing automatic door openers in the nature of electric door openers, electronic components in the nature of electronic safety switches, powered wheelchair securement systems comprising safety harness for the passenger in a wheelchair and a securement station for securing the wheelchair in place, hardware input/output controllers in the nature of electronic controllers for controlling power-operated lifts, and interactive, motion sensitive electronic announcers for recording and playback of an audio message or instruction, namely, announcement systems for verbally providing riders with operating instructions and status information for the purpose of automatically loading, unloading, and securing wheelchairs onto traditional or autonomous vehicles without the aid of another human
