Remotely controllable oil well shut-in systems comprised of a top connection plate with a fluid path through-bore connected to a rig travelling assembly, connected to an outer housing containing a rubber element with a fluid path through bore for sealing around an oil well tubular, connected to a bottom plate with a fluid path through-bore and a guide cone to guide the pipe into the center of the tool, used to isolate oil well tubulars on an oil well undergoing service activities to accommodate containing a steam blowout in order to protect workers and minimize damage to the environment
