Provider Service Notification is an instrument of medical referral services which provides Provider, Patient, Network and Payer information to facilitate patient access to provider services along with claims processing descriptive information to facilitate administration of the claim for the provider with the appropriate entities. Provider Service Notification is accessible by eMDnet, a temporary use of non-downloadable software that permits eligible users to conduct a real-time Medical Provider Lookup to find a doctor, hospital or facility that participates with their Primary Network, and/or finds a doctor, hospital, or facility outside of a Primary Network. A Provider Service Notification is initiated by the user of eMDnet, viewable on screen and remotely printable. The printed copy may be presented by the patient upon admittance to the Provider, and subsequently automatically distributed on behalf of the patient by the applicant, the administrator of eMDnet to secure appropriate access and network discounts to ensure proper administration of the claim in part of claims processing activities
