To provide rapid identification of indivual seeking access to public facilities, such as rapid transit systems, airport terminals, sporting events, other entertainment venues, public buildings or reatil shopping areas; The Rapid Identification System combines two existing technologies, a fingerprint reader encoder, and a card swipe system that reads an encoded finger print; If the encoded information on the card matches the read from the fingerprint reader, the individual is idnetified and permitted to pass through security; If the two systems do not confirm a match, the individual is referred to security personnel; Additional uses of the Rapid Identification System include confirming access to other forms of personal records and services, such as verification of health records or verification of financial information, such as verification of authorized access to credit card and debit card transactions
