Promoting public awareness of the technical and policy requirements for secure health information sharing on a nationwide scale by engaging with stakeholders through public feedback sessions; promoting collaboration between government agencies and health information networks in the field of health information technology to achieve advances in the interoperable exchange of health information nationwide; promoting public awareness and improvement of health information exchange by means of public advocacy, namely, engaging with stakeholders through public listening sessions, workgroups, and other public forums; administration of health information exchange programs, namely administering standards and requirements that enable a nationwide network of organizations to engage in the implementation of secure and interoperable health information exchange; monitoring, oversight and management of health information networks; promoting industry agreement and facilitating industry consensus on exchange of health information, namely developing, implementing, and maintaining baseline legal and technical requirements for secure information sharing on a nationwide scale and adjudicating noncompliance with the same
