School-wide initiative involves students, parents, educators, and carefully selected members of the community to serve the socioemotional and educational needs of the students, namely, by, aggregating survey responses on current social concerns; curriculum development and planned class visits to address identified area (s) of need; conducting workshops; implementing, restructuring, or arranging for mentoring program(s); and planning excursions. The program is tailored to address specific needs which varies by institution; affiliations often include members of the educational community; community board organization; law enforcement youth division, and other shared stakeholders like colleges/universities for examples.
