Creating, managing, and monitoring allowed visitation lists for inmates; allowing inmates to schedule their own visitors using automated voice interactive telephone systems or computers which authenticate the scheduler using biometrics namely voice prints, hand geometry, fingerprints, retinal scans, face geometry in order to allow or restrict visitation; confirming visitation rights of inmates and/or visitors namely their handicap status, juvenile status, restricted status, suspension status, in order to allow or restrict visitation and transmitting alarms to authorities, namely, faxes, phones, pagers and e-mails; managing and documenting social visitor check ins to jails using automated voice interactive telephone systems or computers which authenticate the visitor using biometrics namely voice prints, hand geometry, fingerprints, retinal scans, face geometry to confirm identity and perform background checks in order to allow or restrict access by seeing if visitors are wanted by any authorities or are on supervised release programs (namely parole, probation); and managing and documenting professional attorney visitors as check ins to jails using automated voice interactive telephone systems or computers which authenticate the attorney using biometrics namely voice prints, hand geometry, fingerprints, retinal scans, face geometry to confirm State Bar and licensing status in order to allow or restrict access to the inmates
