Providing grants for the benefit of older people, the elderly, and their caregivers, through partnerships with other organizations for projects supporting economic, medical and healthcare security, for projects supporting affordable and safe housing options in residential and community settings and addressing homelessness, for projects supporting social and intergenerational connectedness, for projects to improve management, governance, and sustainability of nonprofits, for advocacy projects that focus on improving public policy for older persons, for research projects to identify interventions, policies and practices to improve the well-being of older adults and caregivers including generating practical knowledge and guidance for use by advocates, policy-makers and providers, for professional education and training projects to promote a well-trained work force to serve older persons by increasing the knowledge and skills of professionals and paraprofessionals as well as the capacity and number of professionals and paraprofessionals, and for other projects to advance needs, urgent issues, emerging topics, collaborations and perceptions for older people and the elderly; providing information related to economic security and financial planning for retirement in the fields of grant making and gerontology for the benefit of older people and the elderly
