Ascom SECGateä - The Ascom Security Equipment Gateway is comprised of the following two components-- · Ascom Embedded LInux SErver (ELISE) · SECGate Software Application The Ascom ELISE platform is a solid state, Linux-based embedded computer for high security and reliability; The Ascom SECGate Software Application enables the integration of all popular Security Management Systems for monitoring smoke, fire, and access control alarms to the Ascom on-site wireless communication systems as well as all relevant wide-area paging and short messaging service enabled carriers; The integration with a Security Management System accelerates communications within a Protective Services department; Security Officers are notified instantly with a detailed text message to their wireless device when an alarm is activated; Protective Services personnel automatically receive notification the moment a critical alarm is activated by the Security Management System; A short text message containing pertinent information regarding the alarm type and location is sent to assigned Ascom wireless handset, Ascom on-site pocket pager, or wide area device for nighttime on-call notification; The seamless integration of the Security Management System with an Ascom on-site wireless communications platform powered by the SECGate eliminates time lost with conventional alarm notification and improves response times to emergencies; Quicker response improves Protective Services staff efficiency, creates a more secure environment for caregivers and patients, and reduces overall risk; This solution would typically include wireless infrastructure, software, wireless devices, the SECGate platform and integration with the existing Security Management System and telephone system
