Educational services, namely, providing vocational garment workers with job placement opportunities, training, workshops, and instruction in sewing, garment construction, and fashion design. Sewing for Refuge provides women with job placement as garment workers in the fashion industry. We also provide women access to ESL classes and career development. Sewing For Refuge also conducts paid sewing trials at a dedicated production facility, allowing employers to assess worker skills in real production environments while ensuring workers are compensated. Additionally, the program offers Know Your Rights trainings to educate workers on labor protections, workplace safety, and wage standards.
