Promoting economic, educational and humanitarian relationships between the Sister Cities of the City of Los Angeles; namely, to facilitate communication between and coordination of the activities of the many Sister Cities through which the City of Los Angeles is affiliated with under the auspices of Sister Cities International; to promote international goodwill and understanding between the peoples of the City of Los Angeles, its designated Sister Cities, and their respective nations by means of the exchange of people, ideas, and information in a wide variety of economic, social, cultural, educational, municipal, environmental, professional, technical, youth, and other similar projects; and otherwise to foster charitable, scientific, literary, and educational activities serving the peoples of the City of Los Angeles, its designated Sister Cities, and their respective nations
