Computer software deployed on local desktop computers or operating from the desktop browser, which is a smart client that captures voice dictations in a digital form, transmits such voice files securely over the Internet to a remote centrally hosted server system for processing, receives securely from such remotely hosted server system via the Internet, text drafts converted from such digital voice file, and allows editing of such drafts, while being able to listen to the corresponding voice file, using voice command speech recognition or mouse and keyboard, apply templates, NORMALS and Macros that are synched from the remotely hosted servers, and further sends back the voice and draft files back to centrally hosted servers securely for transcription, editing, distribution, and archival, or suspend the job or complete the job by e-signing it, and transmits the job back to the centrally hosted servers securely for distribution and archival
