Projection systems adapted for the use as components of interactive, multimedia therapy systems for use by therapists in administering therapy to client with physical, mental or physical and mental disabilities, such systems comprising apparatus for detecting when a client has performed a desired, volitional movement, apparatus for generating a signal upon the performance of the movement, and apparatus for selectively activating the projection system in response to the signal to stimulate a client's senses, thereby motivating the client to perform the movement by rewarding the client for performing the movement with the stimulation provided by the projection system
