Providing a website featuring non-downloadable software for rent-to-own merchandisers to share information between companies about potential customer applicants for rent to own merchandise by enabling subscribers to input, edit, and verify, in real time, an existing or potential customer's contact information, rental status, purchase history, charge-off information detailing previously stolen or damaged merchandise, skip-stolen information detailing unreturned merchandise, and credit records to identify high risk applicants and enable a quick and well informed decision concerning a potential client based on the amount of active accounts and their status with other rent-to-own merchandisers including providing a rating system whereby a customer who does not return merchandise will have to return merchandise or otherwise settle an unpaid account before rental is approved and merchandise is rented at any other rent-to-own location
